The Answer is in the Antenna

Deals on HDTV Antennas

Boy, we have a direct line to the tranmission tower-I can see it from my front porch! But during the winter, when the weather turned rainy, snowy, and foggy, only the closes stations could be recieved. It appears weather plays a key factor in the quality of your tv reception. That is until we changed our old antenna, the one we used for analog, with a new antenna. It was amazing! No longer were we experiencing break ups of pictures (though it makes lovely abstract art-LOL), or the 'no signal' right at the end of a program! The reception has improved dramatically. I'm kind of mad, though. We paid full price for our new antenna. I just checked Amazon.com and discovered almost all their HDTV antennas are on sale and discounted! Hop on over NOW to get the best Deals on HDTV Antennas!!! You won't regret it.

HDTV Conversion Confusion-This Article Explains WHY

Do you think you are alone in the frustration with converting to digital TV? Can't get the stations you use to, can't figure out why? You are definitely NOT alone!

I found this terrific artic that explains some of the reasons, and eventual (note: I said eventual)solutions, as to why so many people with converter boxes are still having problems receiving the channels they are familiar with. Here's a little of what it says:

"There are several issues that conspire to make digital reception tricky. They can be especially vexing because digital broadcasting is an all-or-nothing proposition: You either get a perfect image or you get nothing at all. The only in-between state is the intermittent freezing that Puopolo experienced, which is more irritating than snow or static wandering across the screen of an analog TV.

A study published last year by market research firm Centris estimated that more than half of all households will have problems with digital reception. The study was criticized by several groups as exaggerating the problem. The FCC itself said 5 percent of households were likely to have problems."

The article is too long to post in it's entirety here, so I have a link:

Free but fickle, digital TV reception eludes some

I hope it helps you understand why you're having problems and why you need an antenna that will fit your viewing needs!
